Groundwork London has run volunteering days for numerous organisations. These can be straightforward volunteering days, giving staff the opportunity to support their local area, or can be run as team-building days. We find there is no better way to breakdown barriers and build relationships than for everyone to get their hands dirty and help make a real difference as a team.
As a charity, we do have to charge organisations who work with us to cover our costs, as even a basic volunteering day takes a lot of organising. However, we do only cover our costs and, as such, we think you'll find it is a very reasonable way to support your staff, improve your team working, and make a real, noticeable difference to your local community and the lives of the people who live there.

Individuals
Groundwork London always tries to find suitable opportunities for individuals wishing to volunteer with us. Volunteers can be office-based or working with our teams out on one of our projects.
Whilst we encourage volunteering with Groundwork, we have to balance this to ensure we continue to provide the best possible service to the communities and areas where we work. Therefore, regrettably, it will not always be possible to find a suitable opportunity for every volunteer.
If you wish to volunteer with Groundwork London , providing a copy of your CV indicating your work experience and background, and a covering note (eMail) expressing why you wish to volunteer with Groundwork London; including details of the days and hours you have available for volunteering, the area of our work that you wish to support with your time and effort, and the Groundwork London office/s (Hackney, Acton, Islington, New Cross, Morden or Waterloo) you would prefer to attend to undertake your volunteering.
