The project has created a brand new recreation area, complete with play equipment and seating. Prior to the transformation it was dilapidated, concrete space, with old equipment and overgrown planting. The new design of the Ufford Street Park play area is unique in Lambeth as it involves a mixture of traditional play equipment with natural play features, such as a climbing tree in the shape of a fallen Oak.

Natural grass matting lines the floor of all the play area and tropical solid wood has been used for different sized benches throughout the park. Circulation throughout the space has been greatly improved, where previously pathways were broken and difficult to manoeuvre; now two new wide pathways have greatly improved access for all residents.
